Yummy Japanese chicken wings (Tebasaki) in one hour

I just made a pretty good meal and had to take notes so I can make it again. I should take picture next time and I should post up my other dishes (I only make few) on this blog as well…

Ingredients

  • 12 supermarket frozen wings
  • 1-2 tablespoon Soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoon Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • a little (olive or any other vegetable) oil
  • a little salted butter (optional)
  • a splash of sesame oil if you’d like
  • 2 scallions

Instruction

  1. Pre-heat oven to 375.
  2. Thaw the chicken wings in microwave while pre-heating the oven
  3. Cook the chicken wings on aluminum foil-lined baking pan. It will stick, so skin side up if you can, about 40 min or so. (Follow instruction on the bag)
  4. Cut the scallion while cooking, get ingredients ready
  5. When done, oil a wok in high heat, add chicken and butter.
  6. Add butter, sugar, vinegar, and soy sauce.
  7. Mix them well, then add sesame and scallion last.
  8. Enjoy with your choice of cold beverage (I happened to have mine with a fine American brew labeled “Coors Light”. I think it is a 2008 brew model)
