Thoughts on North Korea’s nuke test
It’s all over the news: North Korea tested nuclear wepon this Monday, and I can’t stop reading about it. The more I read, the more I get scared.
As I ‘ve writtten before, I am strongly against changing Article 9 in the Japanese constitution. I wondered if this “fear” of North Korea, (as real as it is) is going to push people in the direction of changing it. It is widely known that Japan’s new prime minister Shinzo Abe wants to change the constitution, but so far, he has been calm and I must say I was pleasently surprised. Considering what you are dealing with, how do I put it…, very “unique” personallity of Kim Jong-il, you can’t be carefull enough. Remember his personal sushi chef’s tell-all book? The Dear Leader, On a Platter (Washington Post) and Cook and tell: Another chef spills the beans is a good place to start. There is also a fascinating three part series called I made pizza for Kim Jong-il. All this extravagance in eating, whne there seem to be a major probelm of starvation in a country. I don’t understand.
I just pray that readers of the world will make right decision (or will not make wrong decision, or at least make reasonablle decision…) under this emotional time… 世界ãŒå¹³å’Œã§ã‚りã¾ã™ã‚ˆã†ã«ã€‚
