Random thoughts in June
I have not posted a blog in over a month! Well, I’ve been writing in my Japanese Red Sox Blog and Japanese Podcast. But here some random thoughts:
- If you live in Watertown, MA and use MBTA bus to commute into Boston, checkout the 70, 71, 502 and 504 schedule I’ve created for “Notes” in your iPod. It’s nothing special but is useful. you can download the zip archive of all 4 or idivisual here: 70, 71, 502, 504.
- Movie I’d like to see: An Inconvenient Truth. The website has information on what you can do to stop global warming… Similar to the Japanese Team -6% project that I wrote about before…
- Want to see something scary? Loose Change 2. It’s an hour and half long, though.
- I’ve been reading japandit blog and listening to japandit podcast, and it’s very entertaining. Strange news, but real news.
- World Cup soccer - I wasn’t really into it till I started reading all of those US media (like ESPN, CBS Sportsline, or Fox Sports) who (in my humble opinion) totally underrate Japanese National team. All seems to be predicting Brazil (I agree with that…) and Croatia to advance from Group F. But, then again, after a heartbreaking defeat to Australia, it’s been “I told you so”…
- My iPod froze! Here is how to reset iPod. Phew.
- I’ve written about Google vs Microsoft on the online map front, but I’ve found a favorite. It’s Ask.com map. I like both the style and functionality. The URL is a little bit too long to cut and past into e-mail… On the related note, I guess Jeeves retired.
- Yay, Father Walter!
