Wordpress 2.0 Upgrade

Hey, the WordPress released its 2.0 version. And redesigned their website. Very nice. Here is How to Upgrade in Five Steps from their doc section. I’ve also discovered somehow when trying to back up database from phpMyAdmin using firefox, sometimes it fails, and it is better to use Safari… Don’t know why, and it makes me sad because I like firefox (but I also have to add that firefox 1.0.3 was so much more stable than 1.5 on Mac…)

I didn’t quit follow the 1.5 upgrade instruction, so I know my themes will probably break, and I can’t blame anyone but myself for doing so. But since my new hosting company supports one click installation of the WP2.0, I am hoping it will be not so bad… At least my time will be spent on customization of the sites. I have many sites using WP (including this blog), so I am hoping once I move every sites over to the new hosting, I will be an expert on the WP upgrade… I guess I will start by this Japanese Blog.

I’ve been poking around sites like DevShed and PHPit lately, and just recently came across article called Using WordPress as a Content Management System (when I tried to find this article, bunch of similar stories came up) I think I would like to look into that… I have couple of websites that is perhaps a good candidate for this concept…
