Trying to live without my Mac

First stop is to replace iTunes. I have two healthy Linux (runnning Fedora 2 and 3) so just be able to play and rip mp3 should be no problem. Not so fast. I had to download xmms mp3 plugin rpm and install it sudo rpm -Uvh xmms-mp3-1.2.10-9.i386.rpm

Installed above. No sound. My home server machine’s motherborad’s soud card may not been detected right? Fedora thinks it’s VIA’s technologies, Inc. VT8223/A/8235/8237 AC97 Audio Controller snd-via82xx. That sound right. Mmmm. This is not a good day.
