My %@$&ing Mac Died

Wednesday, September 29th, 2004

I’ve just run 2 of “secuirity” updates (I don’t remember what number…) and Java 1.4.2 (I believe) on my 450mhz G4 (Sawtooth?) a couple of hours ago. It asked me to restart it. I did. Then I was doing stuff, minding my own business, and the screen gets funky… pink/red horizontal lines show up, windows […]

Take Back The Web!

Tuesday, September 28th, 2004

FireFox downloads hit two million mark! Just signed up with spreadfirefox.com. I’ve changed to 1.0PR on all my machines now, and like it very much. According to VersionTracker, Internet Explorer has not been updated since September of 2002 on PC and June 2003 for Mac? I think web browers need a little competition. Don’t you […]

Tuesday, September 28th, 2004

Option-Click Between layers makes them clipping group. Bottom shape masks the top. (Think “Paste Inside” in Freehand)
Double Click on a layer to bring up Layer Style. Click on word, not check box to bring up more option.
There […]

CSS-Discuss had a much more choices of hacks than Tantek.com’s original. And it may have saved me. Still working…

Can’t say enough about FireFox

Tuesday, September 21st, 2004

Fire Fox is awesome. Like really really awesome. I just downloaded 1.0 Preview Release, but what really amazing is the extensions. I just installed a couple of things but both are very good. One is WebDeveloper. It lets you do all sorts of cool and usefull stuff right at your tool bar. Like disabling […]

First batch of Netflix flicks

Saturday, September 18th, 2004

Got my first three movies. Better Luck Tomorrow, Casablanca, and In America. In America was great. It is a hard movie to swallow for poeple like me who just became dad. I guess it makes you realize how good you have it and make you appreciate your everyday. Very good, it made me cry. Though, […]
