Home sweet home
To quote Frank Sinatra (or rather Sammy Cahn, the lyricist) “It’s very nice to go trav’lin’, but it’s oh, so nice to come home”.
The trip was nice but, man, I am tired! We were basically up till 2 am and up and driving at 8 am everyday since Thursday. 4 guys, 600 driving miles, 5 ball parks, 5 baseball games in 3 and half days (We missed the first game). It was quite an awesome trip. I did lousy on autograph department, but my friends got one from likes of Gagne, Green, MacKeon, and Manny(!). But I got bunch of good (knock on wood) pictures, I just dropped off my film this morning, so maybe I’ll post them on the web later tonight. So much has happened in one weekend, and I’m going to need some time to organize my scattered travel log that I kept (I also kept score of all 5 games! I know I am a geek…) and decode my secure hand-writing. :)
The trip helped me put everything in prospective as well. I love baseball, and I am excited about our baby and my new job. I want to be a good husband and father. Life is good.
