KDE 3.2
As I was using Knoppix at work for converting *.sxw files to *.doc (yuck, I know), I got to see the new KDE 3.2 and it was very nice. I just found a howto page. Pretty cool. I am still using RH9 as my main machine because of mozilla font issue, but recently I saw a posting on japanese Mozilla-gumi mailing list something about gtk vs gtk2 issue and if you downloading “xft” versions (?) from this download site may fix that problem, I should give it a try. Now I am encountering issues that firefox or thunderbird sometimes quits kanji-input for no reason on my RH9, and it is very frustrating. So I read mail in Thunderbird and send japanese e-mail using sylpheed. Very inefficient. Maybe time to upgrade to Fedora (again).
[Edit:] I found a cool thing, KDE for Red Hat Linux project. Very cool. Also cool was RPM Livna.
