Thunderbird
Trying out Mozilla Thunderbird mail client. It works great on my work PC (Win2K) and I am considering moving to Thunderbird from Sylpheed. But when I downloaded the file, it had .tar.bz2 extension on it and I had no idea howto extract it, it took me a while to figure it out.
tar xvfj nameoffile.tar.bz2

oh…no…wait…
there is a windows version file with ‘zip’ compression format on the thunderbird website. i used to download that file and extract to a folder to use that client.

Sorry what I meant was Thunderbird for Linux not for Windows. Windows Thunderbird is awesome, but on Linux, with couple of annoying things like asian font support and anti-aliased look (I hate that) I decided to stick with Sylpheed.
