After watching Office Space the movie, I thought about stop coming into work and stay home and watch Kung Fu, (Do you like Kung Fu?) but before I did, my boss told me to go ahead and do that from now on, that would be great, Thanks. Did you get the memo? So yes, I feel I am officially part of web professionals, as I experienced my first lay-off. Yeah, I’m not so sure about that right now. (Hers’s the soundboard of Office Space, if my posting makes no sense.)
It’s really not all that bad. Some say it’s an opportunity and there is a community (Silicon Valley), a support and a mailing list. I already feel the love. I just started reading “What color is your parachute” by Dick Bolles and it’s good. It’s making me think about stuff.
Once a mighty closer, Rod “The Shooter” Beck cut off his mullet and playing for a minor league team and living on the trailer right behind the ball park. He invites everyone up for a drink. That’s an awesome story.
