MNF w/o Melissa Stark
Two “big” sports news:
- Melissa Stark quits Monday Night Football. Well, I guess “Quit” is a strong word. She is pregnant and not coming back next year. Boo Hoo. I am sure this fan is sad.
- Word is that Mo Vaughn is missing. Sports radio is all joking about it, but he’s probably depressed and frustrated about his sub-par performance and his knee. It’s too bad. I liked the guy when he was in Boston. Hopefully he’ll turn up.
The Yanks and Godzilla Matsui will be in town Monday. And thanks to Mr. Taki I am going. What do I think about him? Matsui and I are the same age. I am 18 days older than him. In Japan, I was Chunichi Dragons fan. The year he made some kind of record by intentionally walked 5 times by the opponent team in Koshien Tournament, I came to US as an exchange student. Matsui signed with an evil empire called Yomiuri Giants. Over the years I became a Boston Red Sox Fan. Then Matsui came to US and signed with an evil empire, called New York Yankees. So, to me, “I didn’t particularly like him then, I don’t particularly like him now.” We are just not meant to be.
I think I am going to go see traveling “Japanese All-Star” team play North Shore Spirit tomorrow. I think it’d be kind of fun. Those are the guys who is trying their very best to show they can make it to the Major League. I think supporting Minor and Independent leagues are important.
