I haven’t blogged about

I haven’t bloged about jazz for a long time, I noticed.
I was listening to Bill Evans’ Everybody Digs Bill Evans (1959) today, drinking cheap (but good, very wet) Portuguese Red Wine in our living room. I forgot how good it is. Especially, “Peace Piece” is just amazing. The album will certainly make my all-time jazz best 10 list. I think he’s best with Sam Jones/Philly Joe Jones, not to mention performance on ,Kind of Blue w/ Paul Chambers(My favorite guy)/P.J. Jones. I think Scott LaFaro and Paul Motain is a bit busy but Waltz for Debbie was another awesome, awesome record.
