OK, so he is. But he isn’t even wearing number 51, or starting leadoff hitter… He is hitting 8th in the lineup and sounds like he will be benched against lefty. I am a lifelong Ichiro fan (he is from Aichi prefecture where I am from, a fellow Chunichi Dragons fan!) and a die hard Red Sox fan. My son’s middle name is Ichiro for crying out loud. I just can’t believe it. he has not been in the playoff since 2001 and Yankees are sure to go into the playoff, but really, I can’t root for the team. I am torn. I am in agony. Someone help.
