Asian Coleslaw

Ingredients for dressing:

  • 6 tablespoons rice wine vinegar
  • 4 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons minced fresh ginger root
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons minced garlic

and Salad:

  • 5 cups thinly sliced green cabbage
  • 2 cups thinly sliced red cabbage
  • 2 cups shredded napa cabbage (optional)
  • 2 red bell peppers, thinly sliced
  • 2 carrots, thinly cut
  • 6 green onions, chopped
  • 1/2 cup chopped fresh cilantro

Brought this to a July 4th party that we attended with friends. Good time. They had steamers and lobsters. Awesome.
I resisted a temptation to add MSG product (such as Japanese salt mix and dashi mix) in it, and it still tasted good! Scallion and cilantro makes a very nice smell to the salad, it is great for summer time I think.

Lobstah!
