Twitter log, all about Hisanori Takahashi, Feb. 14

Funny that this week I only had 10 twitter updates but three of them were Hisanori Takahashi. Takahashi signed with Mets. I know he doesn’t throw as hard, but he has a good command and, who knows, could be good. I have stopped predicting how Japanese players do, since I thought Fukudome was going to be great (he is not bad, just way over paid…) and and Okajima will be a bust… which I was happy to be wrong about.

  • Happy (belated) Truck Day! I so miss baseball! "The Next Year" is (almost) here! http://bit.ly/dCoqUc #
  • Mets set to sign Japanese LHP Hisanori Takahashi. Would earn $1M for making Major League roster. #mets http://bit.ly/cznL51 #
  • BTW, anyone who is interested in Japanese baseball should follow @gwynar. His blog Yakyu Baka http://yakyubaka.com/ is constantly updated! #
  • Crap. I missed my stop on the bus trying to write my tweet. Now have to walk back several blocks. #
  • 22-yrs-old Japanese catcher Hiroya Yamamura who was said to have reached deal w/ #Phillies suddenly calls off presser. Via Nikkan & Sponichi #
  • Reading MLB news waiting for bus. Hisanori Takahashi reportedly have split offer from PIT #Pirates similer to Kuwata's, reports Sanspo. #
  • Guess who the Mayor of Parish Cafe (in foursquare) is! #fb http://flic.kr/p/7BVh9v #
  • If you are interested in nasty side of Japanese baseball business, read Robert Whiting's 4-part story in Japan Times. http://bit.ly/9ttop7 #
  • Re: Japanese LHP Hisanori Takahashi. My hunch is he'll sign with team w/best chance to play in the Majors, and that is not #RedSox #
  • Watching Superbowl. Go… My Squares! #fb #

  • Welcome…

...to Daigo’s Daily Digital Diorama. This is utterly useless online journal (yes, that was what it was originally called before term "blog") that I've been keeping since 2002. Since it is ".org," my wife once called it a nonprofit nonsense. I use this blog mostly about baseball, and being Japanese man in America. Wondering who the heck Daigo is?
