Awesome bass instruction video from Andrew Anderson

Awesome video. I need to play and practice my bass more often… (I actually don’t bow, so this is really intersting for me. I need to find my bow!)

“Lyric Opera of Chicago and Grant Park Symphony bassist Andrew Anderson teaches concepts, ideas, and techniques for this double bass in this multi-part series. Andy teaches at Roosevelt University’s Chicago College of Performing Arts.”

He also blogs here and leads stand-up bass forum here.

Here are the links to the rest of the series:

By the way, the first paid application I purchased when I got my iPhone was UkeMaster from Sheep Entertainment. I think their web-version Ukulele Chord Finder is best there is and with this iPhone version, I can take it out to any place with me! Does vertical and horizontal mode, too. Great app. If you are looking for chords, I keep updating my bookmark here.
