Looking for a good station wagon

I’ve written this before, but since I have to carry around my bass and baseball stuff all over, I love driving my station wagons. I’ve owend 2 Ford Taurus Station Wagons, a Toyota Tracel, and a Subaru GL. Now that my trusty 1994 Ford Taurus is not looking too promising to survive this coming winter, I am looking for a new one. But I am finding out, with popularity of Minivan and SUVs (which I despise), station wagons are rare nowa days…

There are cars like Scion xB ($14,610 MSRP) that bills itself as wagon, and there are Honda Element (MSRP $18,900). Rhough their prices are right, they are little bit too “cool” for me… Then there is Dodge Magnum (MSRP $23,620), and Subaru Outback (MSRP $21,995), and Audi A4 Advant ($31,340 MSRP… Yeah…)

I guess Boston.com is having one of those special section in cars section as this is columbus day weekeend.

I guess there is such thing as Crossover SUV‘s which are “…with a sport utility vehicle appearance but is built upon a more economical and fuel-efficient car-based platform.” Maybe that is worth taking a look…?

Just realized this is my first post in over two month. Whoa, time flies. My last post was before Jason Varitek’s injury… for those who know me, I love my new job and since now I work late shift and weekend, I get to spend a lot of time with my son and we love going to the new watertown library. I post weekly on my Japanese Red Sox and MLB podcast (subscribe via iTunes here, please!), and collecting Ichiro Suzuki baseball cards like crazy. Life is good!

  • Welcome…

...to Daigo’s Daily Digital Diorama. This is utterly useless online journal (yes, that was what it was originally called before term "blog") that I've been keeping since 2002. Since it is ".org," my wife once called it a nonprofit nonsense. I use this blog mostly about baseball, and being Japanese man in America. Wondering who the heck Daigo is?
