Welcome…
...to Daigo’s Daily Digital Diorama. This is utterly useless online journal (yes, that was what it was originally called before term "blog") that I've been keeping since 2002. Since it is ".org," my wife once called it a nonprofit nonsense. I use this blog mostly about baseball, and being Japanese man in America. Wondering who the heck Daigo is?

Awesome Ukulele concert
Saw Jake Shimabukuro at The Center for Arts in Natick last night (event page, link may break). It was as good as I’d expected and more. He played his standard like While my Guitar Gently Weeps and Creazy G, to bunch from his new CD (which I bought at the concert). He did a version of Ave Maria (Franz Shubert), Here There and Everywhere (The Beatles), and Somehwere Over the rainbow. It was really good. Amazing.
Also, Greg Hawkes or Cars opened up for Jake. I knew nothing about him, but it was really good. I really liked this song, Time to go in. I guess he is performing at Ukulele Noir next week in Somerville. With special guest Jumpin’ Jim Beloff(!). Too bad I will be away, but may be I will try to make the April one. But this is great to find that there is a local Uke circle… My del.icio.us uke links are growing by the hour!
I am very upset to find that Japan lost to Korea in World Baseball Classic this morning. I’ve taped and watched most of all three Japan games. UGGHHH! It’s really frustrating, since I have already purchased ticket to the Pool A Winner game in Anaheim… which now is a Korea vs Pool B Winner…
