Welcome…
...to Daigo’s Daily Digital Diorama. This is utterly useless online journal (yes, that was what it was originally called before term "blog") that I've been keeping since 2002. Since it is ".org," my wife once called it a nonprofit nonsense. I use this blog mostly about baseball, and being Japanese man in America. Wondering who the heck Daigo is?

Just doing my blogroll and came across Justice for Nick Baker site. He traveled to Japan and was “duped” drugs by a traveling companion. Still in Japan fighting his case. Geez, this is really bad. But perhaps the most scary part is this: … but presiding Judge Kenji Kadoya, who in more than a decade [...]
Xemacs Font howto on OS X
I am excited! This is pretty amazing for me. first I figured out right syntax for setting the font in .emacs/init.el. Which is (set-face-font ‘default “-fndry-fmly-wght-slant-sWdth-adstyl-pxlsz- ↵ ptSz-resx-resy-spc-avgWdth-rgstry-encdng“). To find out what the heck that is? Use xfontsel. It came standard in both Fedora Core 3 and X11 for Mac OS X (Two OS of [...]
Koizumi and Yasukuni Shrine
I don’t want to make big deal about this, but I thought it was interesting that PM Junichiro Koizumi decided not to visit Yasukuni Shrine this new year season (Oshogatsu). The Christian Science Monitor’s article Political pitfalls of a Japanese war shrine, written by Bennett Richardson, was perhaps the best one to explain the complication [...]

Xemacs fonts issue
Still fighting the same battle. I can’t seem to use nicer font on emacs. I found this prioject M+ FONTS from sourceforge.jp. I installed and set the /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xinit/Xresources as The site suggest and run xrdb /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xinit/Xresources but everytime I start xemacs I get the following error: Warning: Cannot convert string “-mplus-gothic-medium-r-normal–12-*-*-*-*-*-*-*” to type FontStruct Mmmm.
