A good, but a sad, story in csmonitorL Japan’s homeless face ageism

… most of the homeless are middle-aged or older single men – a unique aspect of the problem of homelessness in Japan, activists say.
“Most of the homeless are systematically eliminated from society,” says [a leader of a support group for the homeless, Mitsuo] Nakamura.
