Great sports writer Will McDonough passed away. I am one of many lucky souls who got to work with him.
We went to see a play (which was a ok play) and ended up in Oak Bar in Copley Plaza Hotel (now, it’s called The Fairmount). I’ve been there one time before, but is it very cool place. Interior is beautiful and furniture is old and nice. Drinks are served on nice glassware, food is (expensive but) good and best of all, LIVE JAZZ on weekends. Only problem is it’s very smoky, but not anymore after May. I think Oak Bar is the best boston Jazz Bar. Highly recommend it.
Awesome copy-right free photography site. Man, I thought istockphoto was good, but this site is also good and very large database. I don’t understand how they can operate it though. Looks like you can just download the images. iStockPhoto might have better operating structure.
I got Boston RedSox 2003 Calender. I only bought it because it was $6.50. 12 players for 12 month and player selection is interesting. No brainer players are Manny(Jan.), Pedro(Feb.) Nomar(June) Lowe(July) Shea(Aug.) Damon(Oct.) Tek(Nov.) and Nixon(Dec.). I guess I can understand now-a-Met Ray Sanchez(April) and now-a-relief Frank Castillo(Sept.) being on it. Laughable is Tony Clark(March). But com’on, seriously, May is Jose Offerman? What a insult, Brian Daubach didn’t make the 12? What about Wakefield(ERA #4 in the league)? What about an-all-star Ugie? Ouch. Does John W. Henry know about this?
